"A speculative development, Brunswick Buildings off Castle Street (1840s, now demolished) pioneered a new direction for this 'display': a lavish Italian Renaissance palazzo style redolent of Renaissance merchant princes, which not surprising found great favour in Liverpool's business community." (Lancashire: Liverpool and the South-West, p 68). Thesee Psicha, merchant, worked for Ralli and Psicha, 14 Brunswick Buildings (1874-1876)
