Misrepresentation of cotton quality by Frangopulo, Agelasto & Co., 1875

The Liverpool Cotton Brokers' Association found that Frangopulo, Agelasto & Co., through a deliberate error by one of its workmen, had misrepresented the origin of cotton it sold. The management of the company was exonerated but held responsible for its employee's acts. Reported in the Liverpool Journal of Commerce, picked up by "Commercial Notes," Manchester Guardian, 27 Sep 1875, p 4.
