    He is listed as Merchant and Partner in the notice of the Frangopulo & Agelasto bankruptcy, London Gazette, 14 Sep 1880.

    Frangopulo, Agelasto, & Co. was among the two dozen Liverpool merchant enterprises which signed a letter stating how they would deal with, as importers of Egyptian cotton, regulations concerning bagging that put "unnecessary burden on the trade" (Manchester Guardian, 29 Jul 1870, p 2).

    He was a partner in Stavert, Zigomala & Co, merchants, Manchester and elsewhere, 1867, Sep 1889, Mar 1892 until it was dissolved 30 Sep 1893. Afterwards with Themistocles Pandia Petrocokino, Pandia Themistocles Petrocokino and others he continued "the business under the same style as heretofore on their own account." (London Gazette 19 Dec 1893). The Petrocokinos left the firm 30 Sep 1897. He had different partners over the years but remained with Stavert, Zigomala & Co, until it closed 31 Mar 1920. The 1867-1900 Rate Books & 1895 trade directory: G.S. Frangopulo, 6 Minshull St., Manchester.

    He was in partnership with John Themistocles Petrocokino[probably Ioannis (Theodore) Petrocochino], Themistocles Pandia Petrocokino, Manuel Anastasius Copchili, and John Cooper, as Merchants at Minshull Street, Manchester and under the style of Stavert Zigomala & Co; firm dissolved 30 Sep 1897 (London Gazette 23 Nov 1897).

    He is the likely Frangopulo who was a member of the Manchester Cretan Committee ("The Cretan Question," Manchester Guardian, 15 Mar 1897, p 7).

    J. [perhaps a typo for G.] S. Frangopulo was a groomsman at the 1 Jan 1891 marriage of this man's brother-in-law, John T. Petrocochino (Manchester Guardian, 2 Jan 1891, p 5).

    G. Francopoulos is listed as a warden for the Greek Church of Manchester, 1890-1891 and as a trustee, 1901-1914.
