    Military: (1) Apparently he is the Agelasto whose rifle accidentally went off and shot a woman on 30 Jun 1890 (The Times of India, 7 Jul 1890). The story was repeated in "From the Times Archives" (The Times of India, 10 Sep 1992); (2); PJ Agelasto served in the Sind Volunteer Rifle Corps, India, promoted from 2nd Lt. to Lt. (The Times of India, 4 May 1894); (3) P.J. Agelasto, Sind Vols resigns his commission, 9 May 1896, "Gazette of India" in The Friend of India & Statesman [Calcutta, India], 13 May 1896, p. 21.

    Occupation: Jan 1911, Banker, Rodocanachi Sons & Co., Bankers & Steamship managers, 129 Palmerston House, Old Broad St, London. At that time Emmanuel Peter Rodocanachi left the eponymous firm, which would now be run by Emmanuel Michel Rodocanachi, Pandely John Agelasto, George Pandely Sachiari and from 1921 John Emmanuel Rodocanachi. In 1926 the partnership continued with only Pandely John Agelasto & George Pandely Sechiari, as the Rodocanachis departed. Several other partners come and go. A petition for bankruptcy was filed 23 Nov 1929. An order of discharge dated 14 Oct 1931 was suspended until 14 Oct 1933. A dividend notice 8 June 1933 paid 1s 4 3/4d on the pound.

    In 1906, member of the Baltic Exchange, representing Rodocanachi Sons & Co. Palmerston House, Old Broad Street, London Ec2. In 1913 listed as a member of the Baltic Exchange. In 1919 listed as a director of a new company, Improved Chilling & transport (Ltd), stock owners and breeders (The Times [London], 11 Jul 1919].

    He was the co-executor of his father's estate, along with Emmanuel Michel Rodocanachi, his sister's husband.

    He signed a petition against the the dumping of books (The Times [London], 10 Dec 1906) and wrote letters to the editor of The Times [London] on alternate routes for the underground (12 Oct 1910) and the shortage of domestic servants (25 Oct 1924).

    He attended Philip Argenti's League of Nations Union meeting (The Times [London], 25 Mar 1936] and a memorial service for M. Venizelos (The Times [London], 30 Mar 1936]

    A full column announcement in The Daily Mirror [London], 10 May 1928, reported a share issue of The Standard Carpet Co., in which P.J. Agelasto was one of seven directors. His affiliation is his partnership in Rodocanachi Sons Co. G.M. Mavrogordato, partner in P P Rodocanachi & Co., was also a partner.

    He attended a memorial service for M. Venizelos at St. Sophia, London, on 28 March 1936.
