M[ichael] (unknown) Agelasto |
Gender |
Male |
Notes |
- M. Agelasto is identified as belonging to the Saint Tryphon branch in George P. Georgiadis, The St. Ioannis Church of the Chiots in Galata, (Constantinople, 1898), as cited by Zolotas. This is most likely an error. Argenti identifies 8 Michael/Michel Agelastos, each a member of the Psomas branch. He identifies none belonging to the Saint Tryphon branch.
- M. Agelastos headed the Alien Department of the Greek police in 1934 and was involved in the Samuel Insull extradition case. He is mentioned in "Samuel Insull Vanishes; Greeks Start Wide Hunt; Cabinet Crisis Expected; Wife Will Be Deported," New York Times, 16 Mar 1934, p. 1.
