[1] 1950 US Federal Census for the household at 208 East 202 Street, Bronx, New York, headed by Arthur R McNally, 43, Married, school principal; wife Elizabeth M McNally, 43, speech teacher; son Edward M McNally, 17; daughters Ann P McNally, 15; and Elizabeth K McNally, 6, all b. New York. [2] Education: Bronx High School of Science (1949); Queens College (music, 1954; New York University (medicine, 1960). Medical career: He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City, followed by a fellowship in cardiology at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. McNally moved to La Jolla in 1965 to continue his fellowship in Cardiology at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. Dr. McNally practiced cardiology in private practice from 1969 until the spring of 1976, at which time he joined the cardiology staff at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California until his retirement in 1995. At DOD, his obituary noted "his companion of several years, Andrea Hawkins, of La Jolla, California."
