Mavrogordato (cited below) and Pandely A. Mavrogordato in the firm of P. P. Rodocanachi and Co., Merchants, at South Sea House, Threadneedle Street, London, as Merchants, until the latter left the firm effective 31 Dec 1892 (London Gazette 3 Jan 1893). Likely, either he or his father founded the firm P.P. Rodocanachi & Co., merchants, 1 King's Arms Yard, Moorgate Street, London and, until he retired 31 Dec 1906, was partners with Michel George Mavrogordato and George Michel Mavrogordato. (London Gazette 8 Jan 1907). Emmanuel Theodore Seehiari left the firm 31 Dec 1904 (London Gazette 10 Jan 1905). The business moved to 40/41 Old Broad Street, EC 2, London; later partners included Constantin Manoli Vassiliadi and Theodore Michel Mavrogordato (London Gazette 26 Feb 1929). It was in business some decades later at 65 London Wall, London E.C.2., London (London Gazette 9 Feb 1965). He was a co-executor of the estate of John Michael Zarifi, 6 Norfolk Street, Park Lane, Middlesex (d 6 June 1919) (London Gazette 29 Jul 1919). Pandia P. Rodocanachi was listed as a member of the Baltic Exchange, 1886 (Harlaftis, A History of Greek-owned Shipping, p. 58). 1891 England census: 13 Hyde Park Terrace household headed by Pandia Rodocanachi, 25, merchant Russian trade; wife Alexandra, 21; son Peter P., 3 mos, all b. Their names are not among those inscribed on the tomb, nor those of their grandsons Peter Pandia Rodocanachi and Paul Harold Rodocanachi.
