In the petition George Henry Russell alleged that his wife, Elizabeth Ann Russell committed adultery with both NF and a man named Holland. NF was supposed to have fathered EAR's son, born Nov 1892, who died 16 Aug 1893. NF was also alleged to have been EAR's lover between Feb 1894 and Apr 1896 (GHR was at sea from Jul 1893 - 21 Sep 1896). A daughter, born 1 Jan 1896, died Jul 1896. NF denied adultery in his response dated 1 Jan 1897. [7]
- Frangopulo, Agelasto, & Co. was among the two dozen Liverpool merchant enterprises which signed a letter stating how they would deal with, as importers of Egyptian cotton, regulations concerning bagging that put "unnecessary burden on the trade" (Manchester Guardian, 29 Jul 1870, p 2).

He attended the 1921 funeral of his sister Angeliki (Mrs. D. A. Galatti) with his brothers George and James.

| Misrepresentation of cotton quality by Frangopulo, Agelasto & Co., 1875 The Liverpool Cotton Brokers' Association found that Frangopulo, Agelasto & Co., through a deliberate error by one of its workmen, had misrepresented the origin of cotton it sold. The management of the company was exonerated but held responsible for its employee's acts.
