The 1860 Census for Ermoupolis, Syros, reports a household consisting of Zorzis Negroponte, 50, married, parent, merchant; his wife Coriou, 40; their children Catherine, 17; Pandeleon, 15, pupil; Fanny, 13, pupil; and Anthony, 8, pupil. [5] 27 Nov 1834: Zorzis P. Negroponte, 26, unmarried, born Chios, arrived Syros 1828, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the Orthodox Church of Christ's Transfiguration (Metamorphosis), Ermoupolis. His brother Ambrosios took the oath at the same time. Zorzis Pandely Negroponte, banker, is mentioned in the notary records, Syros, 4 Oct 1851. [5]
