    Notes
    • Genealogist Andrew Serjeant kindly located for me two John Alexandroffs in the 20th Century. Each had two wives, and three of them were Greek. He reports: "You may have noticed in a dark corner at West Norwood a simple dressed-stone mausoleum having on the lintel the single word ALEXANDROFF. This contains the first John (1867 to 1926). The only other occupant is Nancy (formerly Rodocanachi), the first wife of Manoli Tombazi, and thus sister-in-law to John. Jane [who was married to the second John (Jack)] found out for me that John's widow Alexandra could not bear to think of him being buried underground, but could not afford anything finer." Alexandra must be his second wife as Aryieta (Stephen) Schilizzi died in 1893, perhaps in childbrith. Her mother was Despina Theano (Michael) Agelasto. (Michael Agelasto 2007)
    • Residence: 1926, 6 Queens Gardens Rd, Hyde Park, Middlesex, London, England.
