This is the only information we have on this man. John Negroponte sailed from New York to Liverpool aboard the Scotia (New York Daily Tribune 3 Jul 1863 p 2). [without more detail this could apply to several Johns on our tree] 1815 Vienna city directory lists Giani Negroponte under Negroponte und Georguffopulo. [2]
