Notes |
- Two of her siblings are connected to the Agelasto or Negroponte-Agelasto bloodlines, respectively: Nicolas's wife was Despina Agelasto and Cleanthe's husband was George Ralli.
- A syndicated 1941 article refers to her as "a sister of the Greek Alexandrian bankers, Constantine and Ambroise Sinadino, who was at the time [of her marriage to Victor de Lesseps] the widow of George Negroponte, whose family had played a notable role in Greek war of liberation in the early part of the nineteenth century." ("La Marquise de Fontenoy," Chicago Daily Tribune, 2 May 1914, p 6; Washington Post 2 May 1914) If this is correct, then Argenti has misidentified her stepson Michel's parentage.
