- Through his will, dated 4 Dec 1886, with a codicil of 28 Jan 1898, he "bequeathed to his wife £20,000, his household effects, and the use and enjoyment during her life of the Sedgley Mount estate, and, subject to her best interest in trust for his son John. Excepting a bequest of £500 to his sister, Calliope Canischeri, he left his rosiduary estate in trust, in equal shares, for his two sons" - John and Andreas. Valued at £32,411 4s 10d gross, including personalty of the net value of £28,385 ?s" (Manchester Times 4 Aug 1899; Liverpool Mercury 1 Aug 1899).
