- Following in his uncles' footsteps, he played tennis competitively; his bird hunting interests took after those of his father. He is referred to in a Washington Post tennis retrospective (13 Oct 1929) that mentioned [Michael] Agelasto, who played in the 1903 Southern Championships, stating his son [should be nephew] had played for Norfolk against Washington in the Hotchkiss Cup in the summer, 1929. The next year in the Hotchkiss Cup he played for Norfolk against Richmond, losing 6-1, 6-4 to C. Miller jr. in singles but teaming up with W.L. Lamerdin for a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Tarpeley-Morgan. In the finals against Washington, he lost 6-2, 6-1 to D. Mitchell, as Norfolk was blanked (Washington Post 21 Jun 1930, p 15; 22 Jun 1930, p M18). The following year Norfolk lost 7-1 to Yale with the sole victory in doubles: McGann-Agelasto over Holloway-Lorenzen 9-7, called for rain. He lost his singles 6-1, 6-3 to Andrews (Washington Post 5 Apr 1931, L11). Two weeks later Norfolk lost 8-1 to Harvard. Agelasto was defeated by Frame, 6-0, 6-4 in singles and , partnered with McGann, 6-2,6-0 by Breeze-Frame in doubles (Washington Post, 17 Apr 1931, p 31).
- Mrs. P.A. Agelasto and Master Alexander Agelasto are mentioned in several notes in The Warren Record [Warrenton, North Carolina], 1918: "Mrs. P. A. Agelasto and Master Alexander Agelasto, of Norfolk, have returned to their home in Six Pound for the summer. Mr. Agelasto will come up from Norfolk to spend every other week end with his family." (28 Jun, p. 3); "Mrs. P. A. Agelasto and Master Alexander Agelasto, of Six Pound, were in town Wednesday." (26 Jul 1918, p. 3.); "Mrs. P. A.
