  Notes	Captain in the Hellenic army. Knight of the Order of St Saviour and of the Order of St Anne of Russia. A Constantine M. Mavrogordato is listed on a Syros school record from the 1830s as of Chios and aged 12 (i.e. born ca. 1820-5). According to a school's register of 1833 on Syros, a Constantine Mavrogordato of Chios is a pupil aged 11. 11 May 1845: Constantine M. Mavrogordato, 25, unmarried, born Chios, arrived Syros 1826, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the town hall, Ermoupolis, Syros. He is on the main Agelasto tree with his wife and her parents. The 1860 Census for Ermoupolis, Syros, reports a household consisting of Constantine Mavrogordato, 35, male, married, parent, merchant; wife Marigo, 24; daughter Catherine, 1. [2]
