Mavrogordato is listed as a contributor toward the building of the Church of Aghia Sophia, London, January 1881. He was co-administrator of the estate of John Stephen Schilizzi. M.G. Mavrogordato was in partnership with P.P. Rodocanachi [either father or son] and Pandely A. Mavrogordato in the firm of P. P. Rodocanachi and Co., Merchants, at South Sea House, Threadneedle Street, London, as Merchants, until the latter left the firm effective 31 Dec 1892 (London Gazette 3 Jan 1893).
