- The 1860 Census for Ermoupolis, Syros, reports a household consisting of Zannis Z. Coronio, 65, parent, merchant; his wife, Despina, 57; sons Zorzis, 30, unmarried, merchant; Epaminondas, unmarried, 25, commercial clerk; daughter Aspasia, 19, unmarried. [3]
- Georges Coronio, 66 rue de Monceau, Paris, was a donating member, from 1884, Association for the Encouragement of Greek Studies, Paris, France. [4]
- G. Koronios entered Constantinople banking in Dec 1867 as partner in the financial brokerage house 'Syngros, Koronios and Partners,' which later became Société Ottoman de Change et de Valeurs. [5]
- According to the eyewitness chevalier Edouard Graziani, recounting in 1922, the first game of bridge was played at Buyukdere, Turkey in August 1873 at the Villa Coronio. The players were himself and "M. Serghiadi, a financier of Romanian origin...M. Georges Coronio, director of the Bank of Constantinople; M. Eustache Eugenidi."
