    He lived at Roughwood Park from around 1919 to the 1940s. From the Rating Valuation lists in the Bucks Record Office it appears that in February 1916 Roughwood Park House was "in a bad state of repair and empty" but by April 1919 the house with 60 acres had been bought by T. A. Agelasto. (Chalfont St Giles History Society). The house and its 60-acre estate appear to have served as an SOE training school in WWll (Station No 42), one of its commanders being Maj. V. E. Blomfield.
