    Notes:

    The Calvocoressi family arrived in Marseille in 1855. Demetrius was 40 years old in 1876, living on the Boulevard de la Liberte, then rue du Theatre francais (quartier du Chapitre). He ran the commercial house Calvocoressi & Co. and owned a residence and three rural properties, all forming a capital in excess of 400,000 francs. He was naturalized French in 1879.

    29 Nov 1834: Nicolas D. Calvocoressi, 26, unmarried, born Chios, arrived Syros 1827, merchant, swore allegiance to the Greek government at the Orthodox Church of Christ's Transfiguration (Metamorphosis), Ermoupolis, Syros.

    The 1860 Census for Ermoupolis, Syros reports a household consisting of Nicolas Calvocoressi, 55, male, married, parent, merchant; his wife Angherou, 40, and their sons Demetrius (22, clerk, single) and Anthony (14, pupil).

    Nikolaos Calvocoressis was elected Parliamentary Deputy from Syros.
