    Mildred Charrington died in an air crash on take-off from Frankfurt. A Sabena Convair CV-240 lost engine power due to fouled spark plugs. It was the third accident of this aircraft in less than a year. She had been on holiday with her sister in Bavaria and they died along with 38 other passengers and four crew. (Find A Grave)

    He might be the younger brother of Nicholas Constantine Maximos, born in Greece abt 1836, who lived in the UK, first as a lodger in 1861, then with his elderly father Constantine, born 1795 Greece, in 1871, and later with his wife, Henrietta in 1881. Nicholas, a merchant, 7 Croxteth Grove, Toxteth Park, Lancs & 21 Alexandra Building, Ormond St., Liverpool, received a US patent for a grain drying invention; he was declared bankrupt in 1883 and 1887.

    Argenti says Maximo but he himself used Maximos.

    Obituary pubished 28 Sep 1886 in two newspapers, The Norfolk Virginian and The Norfolk Landmark: "Maximos - At Mountain Top Hotel, VA September 27, Marigo, wife of John C. Maximos." The Mountain Top Hotel was a famous luxury resort in the 19th century and was built at the earlier site of an inn where Thomas Jefferson and others met to establish Charlottesville as the location for the Univeristy of Virginia. It is in Nelson County only a few miles from where two Peter Agelastos have homes (Parker Agelasto).
