    An A.S.Agelasto is listed as the manager of the Bank of Constantinople (The Times [London], 10 Mar 1884; Pall Mall Gazette 10 Mar 1884) but this could be a misprint as his son, Stephen Augustus Agelasto, held this position.

    Along with other Liverpool merchants in the Levant trade, he signed a petition to the city's Dock Committee asking them to extend dock on the Liverpool rather than the Cheshire side of the Mercy (Liverpool Mercury, 30 Oct 1857).
