    Text "Published at the expense of honourable Chiots" A letter [full text] sent by Chiots in 1825 (the Independence War not yet at an end) from Syros to the provisory Greek Parliament which was constituted in the liberated areas of the Greek mainland. They describe Chios´ contribution to the national issue and ask for permission to send a deputy, as Chios should in any case become part of the Greek Nation and be represented in the Parliament. The letter is signed by about 70 persons.
