- Demetrius Nicolopulo, merchant, Marseille, was an investor in the Bank of Alexandria Limited (London Gazette 27 Feb 1873).
- He could be the father of Jean.
- Nicolopulo and Co. (through S. J. Galatti) was among the two dozen Liverpool merchant enterprises which signed a letter stating how they would deal with, as importers of Egyptian cotton, regulations concerning bagging that put "unnecessary burden on the trade" (Manchester Guardian, 29 Jul 1870, p 2).
- Demetrius Nicolopulo established the Galatz, Romania branch of the Nicolopulo shipping company in June 1880 (Harlaftis, A History of Greek-owned Shipping, p. 122).
- He was a signatory witness to: marriage of George (Panteleon) Psikas and Zenovie (Michel) Salvago; birth of Nicolas Salvago.
