- The 1856 Marseille census places a Georges Grimanelli and family at 9 allees de Meilhan. Besides Georges, 49, are his wife Carieles Fanerli, 23, and their sons Pericles, 10, and Jean, 1.
- George Grimanelli was among the twenty-one founding members of the Greek church, Marseille, in 1836, a group which also included Paraschewa Sechiari, Emmanuel Rodocanachi, Andre Argenti, George D. Zizinia, Michel Dromocaiti, Michel Petrocochino [probably Michel Dimitrios Petrocochino, rather than Michel Andre Petrocochino], George M. Zizinia, Michel Agelasto, Jean Baltazzi and George Petrocochino (Echinard). [3]
