  Notes	"I remember my Aunt Mika, at Nurney, ripping out the Pages from the Family Bible, which my elderly Grandfather had just handed to me. She snatched the Bible from me, and tore out some pages of the Births, Marriages, and Deaths. She said 'Edith will not be interested in these'. What a pity, I was only a little girl, and felt sad about it. I was going to get the pages out of the waste paper basket, so was my mother, but we were both too afraid of my aunt's possible temper to save them. This was the Family Bible that belonged to George & Julia [Eumorfopoulos]; my Grandfather had it after his brother George died. In his Will George was the fairest of all the relations, my mother used to say. I still have the Bible, there are one or two Pages which Mimika missed ripping out!!" Mimica Eumorfopoulos [305 Leigham Court Road] appears on the 1933, 1934, 1935, 1936 UK electoral register, Norwood and North parliamentary division, Lambeth county/borough. The 1939 England and Wales Register for the address Old Mansers, Godstone, Surrey, lists Eustratio Eumorfopoulos, Married, b. 2? Jan 1870, Merchant; and Mimica Eumorfopoulos, single, b. 23 Feb 1904, Artist.

  	According to a descendant, Edith Baker, her marriage was 26 April 1899 (engraved on a wedding ring) though Metaxa's Greek church records state 15 Feb 1900. Church register says marriage was 15 Feb 1900; Marriage Witnesses: Smaragda A. Eumorfopoulos and Triantafyllos Costa; A. Paraschis presiding; entry 218 [5] Marriage registered Apr-May-Jun 1899, Islington District, Vol. 1b, Page 676. Certificate not examined. According to parish records, they were married on the same date at the Parish Church of St. George, Tufnell Park, Islington. Marriage witnesses: Stamati Eumorfopoulos and Alice Henderson. At some point he lived at 'Old Mousers' and she on the Isle of Wight, with the children shuffling between.
