- [Lt. Col. Edward Boxshall] was an intelligence officer in World War I and from 1921 to 1939 represented British companies in Romania. In World War II, he was an officer in Special Operations Executive, which controlled undercover agents in Nazi-occupied territory. Until his retirement, Mr. Boxshall was employed by the Foreign Office to advise on what should be made public about Special Operations Executive activities. Syndicated obituary "Lt. Col.
